Alliance Manager - Italy and Iberia
The Alliance Manager for Italy and Iberia is a senior role responsible for our top strategic global and European partners. The goal is to generate new business within the region. The role involves working closely with the regional RVP, sales team, management, and other Alliance Managers across Europe. The primary focus is on new license sales from Flexera’s Enterprise Solutions, mainly ITAM solutions, IT Visibility, and Cloud Cost, along with driving business development and service delivery strategies for selected and other partners in the Mediterranean region.
This position is quota-bearing, with revenue as the final metric for success. All leads and new opportunities from partner activities will be tracked, and commissions paid on closed business. The role is also eligible for the annual President’s Club trip.
Responsibilities
1. Develop new relationships with large System Integrators, Consulting Partners, and SAM Service Partners.
2. Identify and develop key account alliances and relationship programs to generate sales opportunities.
3. Build detailed plans with partner executives to drive strategic engagement, develop partner skills and certifications on Flexera solutions, and execute joint marketing activities.
4. Recruit, develop, and manage strategic partner alliances and opportunity pipelines, ensuring retention, growth, and customer success.
5. Evaluate program trends and provide analysis and recommendations to management.
6. Work towards mutual goals, strategies, and objectives to promote the strategic benefits of the alliance.
7. Provide financial analyses, long-range forecasting, and analysis related to potential alliances.
8. Monitor competitor activity and implement strategies to maintain account ownership and prevent competitor advancement.
9. Drive initiatives for joint selling and marketing programs.
10. Coordinate partner enablement activities such as training, implementation, and certification to ensure successful solutions delivery.
11. Track partner opportunities within Salesforce.com CRM accurately and timely.
12. Maintain an understanding of the pipeline and revenue forecasts involving partner-generated opportunities.
13. Create structured Business Plans to focus on attacking business objectives.
14. Gather and relay critical market trends and solution feedback to Product Management for product improvements.
Required Experience & Skills
1. Fluent in Spanish and Italian; good knowledge of English.
2. Extensive, well-referenced experience in Sales, Alliances, or both, in enterprise software or consulting companies.
3. Existing partner network within System Integrators, Resellers, and Consultancies in Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
4. Experience in strategy development at a senior management level (VP/C-level).
5. Proven leadership in creating and managing partner communities.
6. Knowledge of high-value technologies such as virtualization, cloud, asset management, ITSM, migration, and security.
7. Ability to initiate and support business development initiatives.
8. Ability to work cooperatively across multiple groups within Flexera.
9. Willing to travel at least 30% of the time.
