The role:
GTD Defense & Security Solutions designs, develops, and integrates systems and products to secure and protect people, critical infrastructures, and territories. We create systems that support all kinds of peacekeeping and search & rescue operations, from HQ to personnel on the ground, including training and simulation tools.
We are looking for a SW Development Engineer Intern to join our I&C area in GTD Defense & Security Solutions, the company of GTD Group specialized in the design and development of large, complex and/or safety-critical applications. The position will be based in Cadiz, San Fernando & Puerto de Santa Maria.

Position activities:
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of Engineers with a clear orientation towards the integration of systems at all levels: mechanical, electrical, electronic and at the software level; mainly land border surveillance systems and naval systems, both national and export markets and during the entire life cycle of the project, from the technical specification, design, production and verification and validation.
* Participate in team-based development tasks, working closely with other software engineers to implement assigned features and fixes.
* Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following the team's coding standards and best practices.
* Assist in debugging and testing software modules to ensure functionality and reliability.
* Collaborate in code reviews, learning from feedback and contributing to the improvement of team code quality.
* Follow agile or iterative development workflows, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
* Document technical processes and solutions, contributing to internal knowledge bases and project documentation.
Adapt to evolving project requirements, showing flexibility and a willingness to learn new technologies or tools as needed.
Your profile:
* Student or recent graduate in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or a related field.
* Basic knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++ and Java.
* Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Shell.
* Interest in working with Linux environments.
* Willingness to learn and use version control systems (e.g., SVN, Git).
* English proficiency at B2 level or higher, both written and spoken.
Nice to have:
* Basic knowledge of French.
