The Physiotherapy Department in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences offers a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy, three Master’s Degrees and a number of continuing education courses. It undertakes innovative teaching and research projects through a senior research group and different focuses of research.
What we are looking for
This call focuses on the specialization of physical activity and sports science, with a significant curriculum in education and clinical research. Experience on the use of exercise as a tool for the rehabilitation of people with respiratory chronic diseases is also another considerable requirement. Supplementary merits include participation in competitive grants, publications in the field of cardiorespiratory chronic diseases, academic prizes including conference rewards, and possession of a PhD with the highest score.

Selection process
The selection process includes:

- An independent committee of external experts evaluates applications and selects candidates for the next stage.
- A public oral defence by finalists: presentation of their academic and teaching trajectory and research projects, followed by questions. The defence lasts 60 minutes.

Assessment criteria
Primary requirement: demonstrable track record in research on exercise and physical activity in respiratory chronic diseases. Other criteria include:

- Bachelor in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences.
- PhD in health sciences (2023–present).
- Experience supervising undergraduate and postgraduate (Master’s level).
- Experience teaching at the masters or postgraduate level.
- Clinical experience prescribing exercise for respiratory chronic patients.
- Ability to contribute to multidisciplinary projects and collaborative teams, with experience in competitive grants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Catalan and/or Spanish for non‑Spanish candidates. xhfqzwm
