Job Overview
We are seeking highly motivated
Commissioning Engineers
to join our team supporting innovative
nuclear turbine island technologies. In this role, you will work alongside highly skilled engineering teams to help deliver reliable, low-carbon power solutions to nuclear facilities around the world. You will be responsible for the commissioning, testing, and optimization of turbine island systems across nuclear power plants, ensuring equipment and systems are installed, tested, and operating safely and efficiently. Our teams provide essential services to
around 100 nuclear power plant units annually, including maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and lifetime extensions. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to critical infrastructure that helps energize the world while supporting the transition to sustainable energy.
Key Responsibilities Support the
commissioning and start-up of turbine island systems
in nuclear power plants. Conduct system testing, validation, and performance verification of mechanical and electrical equipment. Review and execute
commissioning procedures, test plans, and technical documentation. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during commissioning and start-up phases. Coordinate with engineering, project management, and site teams to ensure safe and timely project delivery. Ensure compliance with
nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality procedures. Provide technical support during
maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and plant lifetime extension projects. Participate in site inspections, system walkdowns, and acceptance testing. Prepare commissioning reports and document system performance and results.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field. Experience in
commissioning, power generation, or large industrial equipment. Knowledge of
turbine, generator, and balance-of-plant systems. Strong understanding of
safety procedures and engineering standards. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in the
nuclear power industry. Familiarity with
turbine island systems, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems. Knowledge of nuclear regulations and commissioning standards. Willingness to
travel to nuclear power plant sites .
