Summary – basic function of the role
We are looking for a Purchasing Clerk to join our team in Mallabia, Spain on a temporary basis until August 2026. The role is primarily site-based, with four days on-site and the option to work from home on Fridays.
In this role, you'll play a key part in keeping our facility running smoothly - sitting at the heart of our procurement operations and making sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time. You'll manage purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, and keep our ERP data accurate and up to date. You'll also work closely with teams across the business, monitor supplier performance, and help uphold the operational standards that Enerpac is known for.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Purchase Order (PO) system, including raising POs, reviewing PO lists, and resolving PO-related queries.
- Expedite purchasing activities for assigned items and general stationery to ensure timely availability.
- Coordinate with suppliers to obtain and forward technical information, such as drawings, specifications, and component details.
- Maintain and update the ERP system with accurate planning dates, quantities, and order details.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and proactively liaise with Manufacturing and Sales teams to address discrepancies in supply versus requirement.
- Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) for new components or re-quotes on existing items as required.
- Support administrative tasks including answering telephones, managing reception duties, and maintaining departmental filing and archiving.
- Deputize for the Facility Buyer when required, ensuring continuity of procurement operations.
- Ensure compliance with all HSSEQ (Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality) rules and actively promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
- Represent Enerpac in a professional manner at all times, adhering to company policies, processes, and ethical standards.
Required Capabilities
- 2–3 years of experience in a similar purchasing or procurement role.
- Strong ERP system knowledge and computer literacy (MS Office proficiency required).
- Sound commercial awareness and understanding of procurement principles.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and with suppliers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
