The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving sales activities within the assigned region. Their primary objective is to achieve sales targets, develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, and lead a team of sales professionals to deliver exceptional results.
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Monitors, analyzes, and optimizes sales performance to achieve or exceed targets set on a regional level.
- Ensures efficient implementation of marketing directives to maximize the impact of product promotions and campaigns.
- Stays up-to-date with market trends, competitor activities, client preferences, and product trends. Proactively gathers market information from various sources and maintains strong industry networks.
- Cultivates and maintains excellent client rapport to foster high product acceptance. Conducts regular visits to key doctors, hospital administrators, pharmacies, drug stores, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Leads and inspires a team of District Sales Managers and Medical Representatives to achieve
sales targets and execute sales strategies effectively. Provides coaching, training, and motivation
to enhance team performance.
- Performs regular audits of DSMs’ activities, submitted reports, and company assets within responsibility. Ensures adherence to company rules, regulations, and procedures.
- Conducts periodic performance reviews for District Sales Managers and provides constructive feedback. Communicates information, policies, and directives from the company to DSMs regularly.
- Keeps senior management informed of regional sales results, critical information, and concerns. Collaborates with senior management to address challenges and find solutions.
- Provides valuable insights on critical sales and market information, including competitor analysis, client feedback, and emerging trends. Collaborates with the Product Manager on strategic decisions.
- Drives improvements in the sales process and organization to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Identifies areas for optimization and implement solutions.
- Addresses team concerns and fosters a positive work environment during regular team meetings. Resolves inter-district and inter-region concerns and coordinates cross-functional needs with other departments.
- Performs other responsibilities assigned by senior management.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a District Sales Manager in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- In-depth understanding of the medical products market, including market trends, competitors, and customer dynamics.
- Proven experience in recruiting, developing, and managing a high-performing sales team, providing coaching and guidance to enhance their skills and performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good adaptability skills to changing market conditions, customer needs, and organizational priorities.
