About the gig: We seek a Lead Instructor and Teaching Assistant team to deliver a 100-hour in-person training program titled “Foundations of Computing and Statistics”. This course focuses on building digital and analytical skills, with an emphasis on employability, digital inclusion, and technological autonomy, designed for individuals with disabilities. The selected team must be physically present throughout the course. Classes will be conducted in Spanish.
Teaching Team Requirements
Lead Instructor: Must meet at least one of the following:
* Teaching experience: Delivered at least three in-person training programs in computer literacy, Excel, statistics, or similar in the last five years. Modules must total at least three times the module duration.
* Academic background: University degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields. If no degree, at least twelve in-person training programs in similar specialties over the last five years.
Teaching Assistant:
* Support students in exercises, collaborate with Lead Instructor, encourage learner autonomy.
* Experience: At least one in-person training in computer literacy, statistics, or similar in the last three years (modules must total three times the module duration if modular).
* Academic background: Degree in a relevant field or four in-person training programs in the last three years.
Both roles require a Curriculum Reference Form and diploma copy if applicable.
Course Topics
* Use of accessibility tools and digital environments
* Fundamentals of digital safety and online communication
* Excel basics: formulas, charts, tables, data cleaning
* Statistical concepts: mean, mode, median, variability, interpretation of results
* Hands-on exercises and projects
Course Management Responsibilities
* Introduce key concepts: Excel, digital literacy, basic statistics
* Provide feedback and assess exercises and projects
* Foster inclusive learning environments
* Coordinate with Ironhack for evaluations and reports
