An excellent opportunity as Buyer is available now in Barcelona within an important multinational of the luxury retail sector.
In the position of Buyer, you will be responsible for assisting the buyer for technical developing and providing the materials needed for projects at best cost and conditions with a TCO mindset, by following the company's Purchasing Strategies and Global Policy for Suppliers, Retail materials and Secondary Packaging Buyer.
Functions
* Support buyers in managing projects to ensure the timely and complete delivery of required materials, at optimal cost, and in line with quality and supply expectations
* Monitor and ensure execution of purchasing plans, including tracking order deliveries, evaluating supplier performance, and managing component stock levels
* Develop and follow detailed retro-planning in collaboration with suppliers and internal departments to meet company requirements
* Maintain and update all purchasing-related data in SAP or via the IRIS supplier portal, including info records, source lists, planning and logistics data, Green Dot, and customs clearance codes
* Track and report Retail KPIs, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
* Education: Degree in Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
* Experience: Previous experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role, ideally within a retail or FMCG environment
* Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English; French is a plus
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is highly valued
* Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across teams and with suppliers
* Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to managing challenges
* Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
* Analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making
* Team-oriented with a positive attitude and a commitment to continuous learning
This important multinational of the luxury sector offers a temporary position of minimum 6 months and with possibility to extend in a permanent contract in an excellent working environment.
