What You'll Do:
The Finance Intern, will be part of the Iberia Financial Team, supporting business objectives and growth. This role will involve project control, client interaction, financial systems management, risk assessment, planning, and reporting analysis. The selected candidate will work collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Case Management & Financial Operations:
* Support the case management team in the case opening process, economic analysis, and coordination with client officers and local legal advisors for contract procurement.
* Manage client work-in-progress, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing in compliance with contracts and firm DSO targets, while monitoring accounts receivable.
* Collaborate with Finance and Staffing teams to track investments, project performance, and profitability.
* Develop and prepare revenue backlog reports and forecasts.
* Monitor weekly billability and financial performance.
* Optimize financial processes and policies (e.g., T&E policy, invoicing and cash collection improvements, system upgrades).
* Conduct ad hoc financial analysis tailored to client needs.
* Assist in budget planning and forecasting.
* Review client contracts, ensuring compliance with commercial terms and internal policies (ICERTIS).
Time & Billing Project Management System:
* Maintain the Time & Billing (T&B) system for local offices, ensuring alignment with business needs.
* Update employee records (new hires, promotions, terminations) and coordinate with HR to ensure finance and HR systems are synchronized.
* Work with affiliate office finance leadership to monitor capacity changes and ensure accurate employee record maintenance.
* Manage internal controls and reconciliation of employee transactions.
* Maintain an up-to-date client database.
* Record invoices and cash collections.
* Execute assignment charge corrections and project absorptions as needed.
Risk Management & Compliance:
* Ensure internal controls and compliance within assigned responsibilities.
* Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to implement global risk management procedures, including segregation of duties, documentation, archiving, and emergency procedures
Infor System Management:
* Review and process employee timesheets, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
* Follow up on missing timesheets, process corrections, and ensure accurate postings within Infor.
What You'll Bring:
* Completed Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
* No more than 3 years since obtaining the degree (5 years for candidates with disabilities).
* Minimum of 1 year of work experience, preferably in a multinational corporation or professional services firm.
* 1 years of experience in project control.
* Fluent in written and spoken Spanish and English.
* Proficiency in Excel and MS Office analytics tools (Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI).
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Excellent analytical and numerical reasoning abilities.
* High level of discretion, trustworthiness, and responsibility.
