Leap29 is excited to present a new opportunity with a leading global renewable energy investor, known for owning and operating a diverse portfolio of around 12 GW across multiple technologies and geographies (Southern Europe, LATAM, USA and Australia), with a long-term, sustainable investment approach.
We are currently looking for a Construction Manager to join their team in Madrid on a permanent basis. In this role, you will support global development, pre-construction and construction, setting best practices, advising senior stakeholders, and ensuring successful project delivery from early development through to operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Evaluate construction risks and ensure readiness at development and acquisition stages.
* Provide expert guidance to regional teams throughout pre-construction and construction phases.
* Ensure safety, governance, and quality standards are met across all projects.
* Support the negotiation and execution of EPC and related contracts.
* Lead and promote lessons learned, continuous improvement, and smooth handovers to operations.
Key Requirements:
* Engineering degree with substantial relevant experience in renewable energy projects
* Proven success managing construction of renewable energy projects either in the capacity of owner, EPC contractor or investor.
* Strong commercial and contractual acumen
* Contractor and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience with BESS projects and understanding of project finance (preferred, but not essential)
* A proactive communicator, comfortable working across multiple cultures and geographies.
* Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage)
* Willingness to travel internationally.
