About Lakeland Hospitals
The health system comprises three hospitals, a regional cancer center, rehabilitation centers, two long-term care residences, home care and hospice services, and 34 affiliate physician practice locations. We provide both inpatient and outpatient medical services throughout Southwest Michigan.
Scope of work
Provides quality, evidence-based athletic health services to stakeholders in the sports medicine outreach athletic training program. Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive healthcare programs for patients, clients, and athletes. The practice of athletic training includes injury/illness prevention and wellness protection, clinical assessment and impression, immediate and emergency care, treatment and rehabilitation, and organizational and professional health and well-being of individuals under the direction of a physician. Travel is required.

Qualifications
* Required Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in athletic training or related field
* Required Master's Degree or equivalent, completion of a CAATE-approved athletic training education program or educational equivalent
* Successful completion of competency-based orientation program required
* At least 1 year of relevant experience in all aspects of athletic training required
* CRT - Athletic Trainer, Certified - BOC Board of Certification and Accreditation upon hire required
* LIC - Athletic Trainer License - State of Michigan upon hire required
* CRT - Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association within 90 days required or
* CRT - Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross within 90 days required
* Preferred certifications include: CRT - Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), CRT - Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), CRT - Functional Movement Screen (FMS), CRT - Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP), LIC - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - State of Michigan, upon hire
