Role
Customs Clearance & Operational Assistant (Licensed Grade 3) (on-site)
We are seeking a Customs Clearance Clerk to join the GAC Trinidad team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient clearance of goods through customs, in compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and process customs documentation for import and export shipments
* Coordinate with customs officials and other relevant parties to ensure timely clearance of goods
* Ensure compliance with all customs regulations and requirements
* Maintain accurate records of customs transactions
* Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to customs clearance
Qualifications & Requirements
* Customs grade 3 level license is mandatory or fully licensed broker.
* Good understanding of air freight & sea freight, ship spares & delivery procedures.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and strong team player with ethical track record.
* Minimum 2-3 years of experience in shipping agency / freight forwarding; experience with transshipment cargo / projects is a plus.
* Based in San Fernando office or Chaguaramas office during projects / when needed to attend outside work.
