Hexcel is currently seeking a Project Engineer II for our Parla location (Spain).
The selected individual will be responsible for, but not limited, to the following obligations:
* Under direction of Project Manager, manage capital projects (up to $5M), which would include, but not be limited to, scoping and estimating the projects, authoring capital expenditure requests for the same, leading multi-functional project teams, providing cost and schedule control, identifying required resources, and coordinating between all affected parties.
* Work with site personnel to execute projects efficiently and effectively with minimal impact to existing operations.
* Coordinate with the local technical and operational teams to ensure key project and site objectives are met.
* Monitor project progress and performance; communicate project status with senior employees and project stakeholders; develop and deliver formal presentations to management as necessary.
* Develop proposals or RFQ’s for the purposes of scoping or estimating capital investments; work with vendors and/or contractors to optimize system performance.
Qualifications:
* B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Manufacturing experience
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects and fulfill responsibilities associated with project engineering teams
* Knowledge of a range of engineering disciplines (instrumentation, electrical, civil, mechanical, and chemical)
* Demonstrated ability to both work within and lead multi-disciplinary teams
* Oral and written communication skills in Spanish and English,
