Pb Job Description: HSE Officer / HSE Supervisor – Solar PV Project /b /ppb Role Overview /b /pp We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer / HSE Supervisor to support a large-scale solar PV project in Spain. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring health, safety and environmental standards are maintained across site activities, with a strong focus on construction, electrical works, energisation, contractor coordination and daily site safety management. /pp The role will suit someone with previous experience working on renewable energy, solar PV, electrical infrastructure, construction, industrial or energy projects. /ppb Key Responsibilities /b /pulli Monitor and enforce site health, safety and environmental procedures in line with project requirements and local regulations. /lili Carry out daily site inspections, safety walks and audits across civil, mechanical and electrical work areas. /lili Support site teams during energisation, commissioning preparation and high-risk electrical activities. /lili Review and monitor RAMS, permits to work, toolbox talks and task-specific risk assessments. /lili Ensure contractors and subcontractors are working safely and in accordance with approved procedures. /lili Identify unsafe behaviours, hazards and non-compliance, ensuring corrective actions are raised and followed through. /lili Support incident, accident and near-miss reporting, investigation and close-out. /lili Deliver and support toolbox talks, inductions and safety briefings. /lili Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and site documentation. /lili Liaise with site management, contractors and client representatives on HSE matters. /lili Promote a strong safety culture across the project and encourage proactive hazard reporting. /lili Ensure PPE, site access, welfare, emergency arrangements and environmental controls are properly maintained. /lili Support compliance with environmental requirements, including waste management, spill prevention and site housekeeping. /li /ulpb Required Experience /b /pulli Previous HSE experience on solar PV, renewable energy, electrical, construction, infrastructure or industrial projects. /lili Strong understanding of site-based construction safety and contractor management. /lili Experience working around electrical installation, energisation or commissioning activities would be highly beneficial. /lili Confident carrying out inspections, audits, toolbox talks and site safety briefings. /lili Good knowledge of RAMS, permits to work, incident reporting and risk control measures. /lili Ability to work independently on site and communicate effectively with multinational teams. /lili Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to safety management. /li /ulpb Qualifications /b /pulli Relevant HSE qualification required. /lili SSM / local HSE certification would be highly beneficial. /lili First Aid, Fire Safety, Working at Height or other site safety training would be advantageous. /lili Valid right to work in the EU preferred. /li /ulpb Skills Competencies /b /pulli Strong communication and reporting skills. /lili Hands-on site safety approach. /lili Ability to challenge unsafe behaviour professionally. /lili Good organisational and documentation skills. /lili Comfortable working in a fast-paced project environment. /lili Flexible and proactive attitude. /lili English language skills required; Spanish or Romanian language skills would be beneficial but not essential. /li /ulpb Project Details /b /pulli Location: Spain /lili Sector: Solar PV / Renewable Energy /lili Contract Type: Freelance / Contract /lili Duration: Project-based contract /lili Working Pattern: Site-based /lili Start Date: To be confirmed /li /ulpb Candidate Profile /b /pp The ideal candidate will be a practical, site-focused HSE professional with experience supporting construction or energy projects.
