For our office in Madrid, Aquila Capital is seeking an Accounting Controller (f / m / d).
Your Responsibilities
* Reviewing the accuracy of the accounting books and financial statements, and ensuring accurate and timely submissions of monthly financial reports and treasury control reports.
* Managing Companies' Annual Accounts and the Audit Report.
* Ensuring compliance with all mandatory company requirements.
* Designing and implementing analytical accounting, including working with coding trees and budgeting items.
* Creating and developing internal financial controls, evaluating their robustness, reasonableness, and implementation.
* Providing management with necessary financial information and following up on key matters identified.
* Reviewing and improving reporting systems and other financial processes, and implementing concrete actions.
* Coordinating with external providers (e.g., accountants, auditors, lawyers, banks).
* Supporting other departments with financial information.
Key Requirements
* Degree in Business Administration, ideally with a focus on Corporate Finance or Economics.
* 3-4 years of professional experience in auditing, such as at a Big Four accounting firm. Knowledge of taxation and IFRS is a plus.
* Strong analytical skills and a good understanding of numbers.
* Precise, reliable work ethic with high autonomy, implementation strength, and flexibility.
* Ability to work effectively in a team.
* Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines.
* Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; PowerPoint and MS Dynamics are desirable.
* Fluent in English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills in both. German is an asset.
