Job Description Summary
As the industry accelerates its transformation through increased grid digitalization, modernization, and decarbonization in Europe, GE Vernova is seeking a Grid Automation P&L Leader for Southern Europe, based in Bilbao, Spain.
The Grid Automation P&L Leader will manage operations across the region, oversee business development and growth in coordination with the regional commercial team, and lead a team across multiple countries including Spain, Portugal, Romania, and Italy.
The role covers the GA Portfolio, including our GridBeats solutions, Substations Monitoring, APM/DvM, Sensors, Autonomous Distribution, Digital Substations, Cybersecurity, and Protection & Control activities.
Key Responsibilities :
* Promote a safe working environment, ensure compliance with EHS, quality, and integrity policies.
* Drive regional growth through strategic planning and collaboration with sales and commercial teams.
* Manage the P&L, including orders, sales, margins, cash flow, costs, risks, and mitigation plans.
* Build and lead a lean, high-performing organization with teams across multiple countries.
* Lead change management initiatives to foster accountability, focus, and customer orientation.
* Develop and maintain strong long-term customer relationships.
* Oversee skills development and team management for approximately 120 employees.
Reporting line : Regional General Manager of Europe & SSA
Qualifications / Requirements
* Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
* 15+ years of relevant experience with a proven career progression.
* Experience in leading P&L and managing business lines.
* Ability to lead multicultural teams within a matrix organization.
* Strong leadership, communication, and change management skills.
* Deep understanding of the energy market and power distribution.
* Native German and fluent English required.
