**SENIOR DSP ENGINEER**
**Join our team and build the furure of space technology**
We´re expanding our team at Alén Space, and are looking for a senior DSP engineer; **with passion in what you do**, talented and experienced; to lead our Mission Control Center team and help build the future of space technology.
You will be part of a large team of engineers to develop** integrated radio solutions** for space communications systems. You will support the implementation of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) algorithms in programmable devices (FPGA).
**What you will be doing?**
- Design digital communication systems using platforms including software defined radios (SDR) and FPGAs.
- Functional modeling of DSP algorithms and their implementation in RTL (Verilog/VHDL) or high-level languages (C/C++).
- Support the evolution of our custom, space-adapted radio platforms.
Main languages/technologies used:
- Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Yosys/Xilinx Vivado
- Python
- C/C++
- GNURadio
- DVB-S2 transmitter in Verilog
- ADS-B Receiver in Verilog
- AIS receiver, hybrid between FPGA (VHF channel) and CPU (GNURadio/C++) Proprietary M2M modem implemented in C
**What do we need in our team**
- Experience with Matlab/Octave, C/C++ and/or Python for algorithm development, modeling (floating and fixed point), and link-level simulation.
- In-depth understanding of receiver synchronization algorithms (such as synchronization recovery, phase recovery, automatic gain control, etc.).
- Experience with signal detection and parameter estimation algorithms.
- Experience with channel encoding and decoding algorithms (Reed Solomon, BCH, LDPC, convolutional codes, turbocodes, etc.).
- Good oral and written communication skills in English.
Valuable knowledge
- Experience with real-time SW implementation of DSP algorithms (C/C++).
- Experience with implementing DSP algorithms on FPGAs (VHDL/Verilog).
- Experience with High Level Synthesis tools (HDL encoder, Vivado HLS, etc.).
- Experience with Software Defined Radio platforms at prototype level (Hack-RF, Blade-rf, Adalm-pluto, Lime-sdr, rtl-sdr, etc...).
- Experience configuring Analog Devices transceivers (such as the AD936x family).
- Experience with the signal waveforms of the following communication standards: ADSB, DVBS2, AIS, VDES, CCSDS Telemetry and Telecommand.
- Experience with signals intelligence algorithms (SIGINT).
- Work remotely 80 % of the time
- Adaptable start/finish times; reduced intensive working hours on Fridays and in summer Monday to Friday.
- Competitive compensation with ongoing reviews, flexible compensation.
- Wellbeing program: Health, dental, and accident insurance; free fruit and coffee, free lunch every friday and much more!
- Personalized career plan development, training, and language learning support
- Very committed to inclusion and diversity; we promote equal opportunities in recruitment
