No sponsorship is available ** /strong /ppstrong Job Description: /strong /pp The SAP Basis Architect is a hands-on role with global responsibilities for the availability, performance and maintenance of mission critical applications. This individual will be responsible for collaborating with Infrastructure, Security and Applications teams to proactively ensure applications are sized appropriately, secure and in a supported state according to regular maintenance cycles. /pp Role requires 15% travel. /ppb Job Dimensions Scope /b /pulli Lead and develop existing team of 14 SAP technical delivery specialists supporting plants/regions and several applications /lili Management and Delivery of Customer Service Level Agreements. /lili Travel: 15% or as required, predominantly within EMEA /li /ulpb Internal External contacts /b /ppstrong Internal: /strong /pulli Reports to Senior Senor Delivery Manager /lili Business Group IT leadership /lili IT Business Operations on all levels /lili Business group functions such as Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Commercial Excellence, Human Resources /lili Site general managers /lili Business unit General Manager and executives /lili Other functional group executives (e.g., HR, Commercial) /lili Corporate Group IT leadership /lili Business Relationship Managers /lili Program manager, Local project managers and site managers /lili Group Information Services teams /lili Internal Audit /li /ulpstrong External: /strong /pulli Consultants / Suppliers / Partners /lili Customers (Technical communication) /lili Trade associations /lili Technology leaders in other companies /lili External auditors /lili Software vendors /li /ulpstrong Principal Accountabilities /strong /pulli Ensure the application portfolio operates matching the business operational schedules /lili Meet agreed SLA’s for all application areas /lili Support the implementation of the any SAP related projects /lili Resource Capacity planning including communication of constraints, alternative resource options, priorities and expected delivery dates of developments to business and Demand Managers / Business Relationship Managers /lili Manage any conflicts and escalations within area of responsibility /lili Oversee third party service providers, when required. /lili Participate in developing standard SAP practices across the business. Ensure a high level of simplification and convergence across the different SAP systems /lili Build stakeholder networks to ensure that the delivery team organisation is recognized as strategic business partner. Software release management including developments and patches /lili Participate in strategic applications long and short-term strategy development /lili Lead, mentor, and manage staff to optimize performance through clear and effective communication to create a positive team environment. /lili Assess technical skills, identify training needs and opportunities, and ensure that required materials and tools are available for direct reports to perform their job responsibilities. /lili Responsible for ensuring the delivery of projects and change within the relevant application area modules. Actively communicating project status/ issues and ensure that business needs are understood and met. /lili Collaborate with the IT demand managers. /lili Create estimates for future projects and define capacity needs /lili Enforce policies and procedures to continuously improve the delivery of the SAP and connected solutions and to be compliant with agreed policies such as SOX /lili Managing and drive the SAP systems release process. /lili Management of metrics related to projects, application development and incident resolution /li /ulpstrong Major Challenges Complexities /strong /pulli Complex business environment, i.e. with regular changes to the scope (Mergers Acquisitions), different stakeholder goals, global and local approaches /lili Global / Regional Distributed team with very different skill sets and customer culture / approach /lili Multi-tasking and setting priorities, i.e. ensuring the priorities are aligned and respected across the Global/Regional/BU/plants /li /ulpstrong Qualifications/Requirements /strong /pulli7+ years’ experience in IT or equivalent with supervisory, project management, consulting, and business process reengineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. /lili Strong knowledge of the systems development life cycle.(SDLC) /lili Business process understanding /lili Ability to think strategically /lili Relationship building with all levels of stakeholders /lili Effective problem-solving skills /lili Effective team builder /lili Written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues with both technical and non-technical people /lili Detail oriented, able to think ‘big picture’ and understand the levers that impact a business. /lili Ability to handle a high degree of ambiguity and a fast-paced environment where priorities frequently change /lili Accountable for delivering projects on time /lili Good organizational and interpersonal skills. /li /ulpstrong Education and Certifications /strong /pulli Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. /lili Fluent English.
