Sanoma Learning’s NPM train is on the lookout for a BackEnd developer to join our vibrant, international team. We’re a group of enthusiastic, friendly, and talented individuals dedicated to revolutionizing primary education. As a BackEnd developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of our platform for primary education, used by tens of thousands of teachers and students. You will contribute to innovative solutions that meet the needs of educators and learners alike .
Role responsibilities:
Developing and enhancing application featur es using Python 3.12, FastAPI, PHP 8+, and Laravel 9+ for the backend.
Collaborating with cross-functional tea ms and Service Engineers to improve system architecture, performance, and maintainability.
Optimizing application performan ce for scalability and responsivenes
s.Deploying, managing, and monitoring microservices-based applicatio ns using Docker and Kubernetes (K8s).
Utilizing AWS infrastructu re effectively.
Ensuring efficient data storage and retriev al with MongoDB and MySQL.
Following best practic es in CI/CD (Bamboo and Bitbucket Pipelines), DevOps, and cloud-native development.
Writing clean, modular, and well-documented co de focused on reusability and maintainability.
Conducting code revie ws, writing unit and integration tests, and improving overall code quality.
Must-have requirement
Backend Development: +6 years of experience with these technologies.
Proficiency in Python 3.12, FastAPI, PHP 8+, Laravel 9+, and async/reactive programming.
Strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure.
Experience in debugging, maintaining, and supporting large-scale production systems.
Expertise in designing and developing microservice architectures.
Database & Storag e: MongoDB and MySQL
DevOps & Cloud
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s) for containerized application deployment and CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket)
Familiarity with AWS
WS.Best Practices & Agile: Agile/Scrum environments and strong understanding of software design patterns and SOLID principles.
Proficiency in English and Spanis h (written and spoken communicat ion ). International environment.
