Senior QA Manager – Software Quality Assurance / Test Development
Company OverviewWe're partnered with a fast-growing fabless semiconductor company focused on the design and manufacture of highly integrated radio frequency, analog, digital, and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
Position DetailsThis is a permanent role based in Valencia, Spain, with predominantly onsite work (1-2 days per week from home).
Responsibilities
Define and implement QA strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks for embedded and application-level software.
Lead a team of QA engineers, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
Collaborate with development, product, and hardware teams to embed quality throughout the software lifecycle.
Drive test coverage across integration, system, and regression levels.
Manage test lab setup, maintenance, and integration with CI systems.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
10+ years of experience in software QA or embedded systems testing.
5+ years in leadership or management roles within QA or software engineering.
Proven track record of building and scaling QA teams.
Strong experience in QA methodologies, test planning, and automation.
Proficiency in Python or scripting languages for test automation.
Experience with test frameworks (e.G., PyTest, Robot Framework, Jenkins).
Understanding automation architecture and hardware interfaces (I2C, SPI, UART).
Knowledge of RTOS environments and multi-core systems.
Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
Effective English communication skills.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Desirable Skills
Experience in telecom, wireless, or embedded product development.
Familiarity with Linux/Windows driver testing.
