**Environmental Health & Safety Manager**:PPG IndustriesValencia, Quart PlantAs an Environmental Health & Safety Manager you will report to the Environmental Heath & Safety Country Manager. You will lead the EHS for Valentia, ensuring that the people and location(s) are legally compliant and satisfy PPG Environmental, Health, Safety and Security procedures, standards and processes.This position is site based and will be required some level flexibility to travel to different locations within the country.**Key Responsibilities**- Ensure that **EHS legal requirements** for the location are always communicated and work with the local Leaderhsip Team to address the requirements in the most effective way- Implement **EHS strategy** within the location by developing and aligning local plans, in agreement with local Leadership Team and Corporate & Regional guidelines; provide proactive feedback to Country Manager to ensure strategy sustainability and robustness in the **long term**- Become a member of the local Leadership Team, participate in local decision-making and support local needs in agreement with Location Manager and EHS Country Manager- Define and maintain core EHS **resourcing needs** for the location and requests support to EHS Country Manager according to business needs and partners- Ensure EHS resources are assigned to core EHS activities and any additional non core activities as agreed by the Business and EHS and Service level agreements established- Collaborate with local Process Safety Managers/Coordinators to ensure process safety requirements are addressed- Identify needs, propose and get approval for **EHS local budget**, and manage it accordingly in full understanding of Site Leadership Team and Country guidelines.- Communicate timely for any **off-site activities** and seek approval from Location Manager and EHS Country Manager**Qualifications**- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Environment field, chemistry, engineering, or related science with relevant experience.- Working knowledge of or environmental regulations and/or health and safety.- Working knowledge of key metrics, key drivers, business vision, and manufacturing processes/challenges as applicable.- We are looking for flexibility to travel to different locations within the country- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in similar role.- Proficient English**About us**:**PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLD****The PPG Way**Every single day at PPG:**We partner with customers to create mutual value.****We are "One PPG" to the world.****We trust our people every day, in every way.****We make it happen.****We run it like we own it.****We do better today than yesterday - everyday.**Benefits will be discussed with you by your recruiter during the hiring process.
