Job Purpose
RWS is seeking an outstanding Enterprise eLearning Business Development Director with expertise in Learning & Development to serve as a subject matter expert and drive sales performance with new and existing clients. The role involves building partnerships within the eLearning sector to expand RWS's global delivery network. Knowledge of the L&D landscape is essential for success.
The director will identify, qualify, and close business with L&D clients seeking language services and technology solutions, leveraging RWS’s extensive experience with leading brands for over six decades.
This role requires generating a sales pipeline through prospecting and effective sales strategies, working closely with business consultants and operational teams to present suitable solutions. While support from inside sales and marketing is available, the primary focus is on hunting for new business.
About the Strategic Content Solutions
Part of RWS’s Language Services division, the Strategic Content Solutions team collaborates with clients of all sizes expanding globally through localization services, including translating content, media, audio, and creating engaging eLearning programs. They work with RWS’s LXD platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists and over 29,000 translators utilizing proprietary AI and translation tools to deliver 24 / 7 services.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute lead generation campaigns through partner engagement, networking, cold calling, and messaging.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
* Identify opportunities within small and medium enterprises.
* Align business drivers with appropriate services and solutions.
* Coordinate with inside sales to optimize results.
* Work closely with operational teams regarding new opportunities.
* Build a robust pipeline and meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
* Develop an eLearning network across EMEA, collaborating with other RWS regions and partners involved in content creation and globalization.
* Support and implement partner programs within the L&D environment.
* Achieve revenue growth objectives set by management.
* Follow up on pipeline opportunities for expansion.
* Foster strong client relationships and internal collaboration.
* Include RWS representatives in relevant client meetings and provide management updates.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 4 years of sales experience in Learning & Development.
* Track record of consistently meeting / exceeding sales quotas.
* Proven ability to engage with decision makers.
* Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills to present solutions.
* Respect and credibility with clients.
* Experience with Salesforce CRM.
* Knowledge of L&D technologies : LMS, LXP, Articulate, Adobe Captivate, SCORM, xAPI.
* Understanding of translation technology integration and AI-powered solutions.
* Familiarity with legal and accessibility standards in L&D.
