Assist in the research, marketing and sale of surplus inventory to obtain the greatest return on asset investments of METRO. Responsible for monitoring the protection, preservation, accounting and control of METRO’s surplus inventories. Performs duties in a safe, efficient manner and in compliance with all applicable rules and safety procedures.Responsibilities and Specific DutiesPerforms asset tagging of new asset acquisitions and establishes property records for new asset acquisitions.Performs the periodic inventory of fixed assets and coordinates and conducts physical inventory with designated Property Custodians.Monitors asset acquisitions, transfers, losses and sale/disposal documentation submitted for processing.Assist in training of Property Custodians on their duties to protect, preserve and control assets under their custodial care.Record and update vehicle title, license, registration and inspection database.Completes vehicle title transfer on TXDOT website for surplus METRO vehicles.Record and return old license plates to TXDOT.Conducts research and elevates methods to market/sell surplus inventory commodities to obtain the highest return on investments of METRO.Assist in the sale and release of surplus inventory utilizing the online auctioneering service.Process and organizes divisional records; Updates list and reports, Updates divisional databases/spreadsheets.
