I’m currently with an industry leader in smart charging technology, who is driving the transition to smarter, cleaner transport and energy across Europe. Their platform connects EVs, energy providers, and end-users through intelligent charging technology, and they’re now looking to expand their presence in Spain.
As part of this growth, they’re seeking a Business Development Manager to lead B2B sales in the Spanish market. The role involves building relationships, developing partnerships, and expanding access to EV charging solutions through installer networks, distributors, and automotive partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and close commercial partnerships with key players in the EV ecosystem (installers, wholesalers, car dealerships, etc.)
* Manage a pipeline of prospects and oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation
* Achieve revenue targets for hardware sales and software subscriptions
* Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling across product lines
* Represent the brand at industry events to build awareness and expand your network
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform local strategy
* Act as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to improve products and services
Requirements:
* Proven experience in sales or business development, preferably in EV, energy, or tech sectors
* Self-motivated with the drive to generate leads and explore new markets
* Strong relationship-building and communication skills
* Ability to manage a sales pipeline and use CRM tools effectively
* Passionate about sustainability, e-mobility, and the energy transition
* Fluent in Spanish and English
* Based in Spain, with occasional travel to Barcelona HQ or London
