IAM Operations Manager
I am working with a global leader in the Insurance industry, helping them to source an
Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations Manager.In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring global process excellence, defining and improving IAM processes in line with the Target Operating Model, and overseeing compliance, adoption, and enforcement across regions and teams. You will also play a key role in driving strategic direction, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting the global operations of the IAM Business Operations function.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the central point for defining, implementing, and enhancing IAM processes on a global scale.
Ensure all IAM processes, controls, and activities align with the IAM Target Operating Model and business objectives.
Drive continuous improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in IAM operations.
Govern the development and implementation of KPIs, metrics, and SLAs to support decision-making.
Monitor and ensure compliance with IAM policies, controls, and security standards.
Conduct risk management and provide regular reporting.
Lead the adoption of new processes, policies, and controls across the organisation’s technology areas.
Provide coaching, advice, and guidance to junior team members to support team maturity.
Collaborate with senior IAM leadership on strategic IAM initiatives.
Support ad-hoc activities such as audits, incident management, and other operational priorities.
Key RequirementsMaster’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong design thinking, problem-solving, and conceptualisation skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
5+ years’ experience in IAM operations and process management, ideally with a global remit.
Background in OPEX, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies.
Solid understanding of IAM concepts such as identity management, role management, segregation of duties (SoD), and access management.
Proven track record in driving process improvements and leading change in complex, global organisations.
Desired ExperienceExperience in IAM Business Operations in a global environment.
Familiarity with IAM tools and applications in day-to-day operations.
Knowledge of regional regulatory requirements and IAM-related standards.
Ability to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices across teams.
Experience leading teams, managing vendors, and working with third-party providers.
Consulting experience is advantageous.
