As a Business Analyst you will partner with the Product Owner to understand business benefits and strategy alongside the process to deliver features required to meet the product vision and our client needs. The Business Analyst handles working with stakeholders and subject matter experts to analyze business processes and workflows, gather and validate business requirements into a backlog of epics, user stories, and wireframes, taking part as a member of the agile team to facilitate successful delivery of the backlog. The Business Analyst also contributes to business Quality Assurance at Copyright Clearance Center.
What you will be doing:
* Elicits, validates, and documents business requirements to support complex software development projects. Utilizes defined approach to document requirements including epics, user stories and high-level wireframes.
* Communicates requirements backlog to broader lean-agile team and serves as a bridge between the business and Engineering, ensuring business requirements are met and linked to identified Business Benefits Analysis.
* Works closely with Product Management/Product Owner to manage and refine requirements backlogs and aid in backlog prioritization. Can act as proxy PO where necessary and contributes to successful planning and implementation, including business process integration and the design and delivery of end-user training. Produces supporting internal documentation for process changes and application use.
* Supports outward-facing engagements, aiding in preparing schedules, templates, and processes to support successful elicitation events. Presents CCC (Copyright Clearance Center) intellectual property as part of Solution Design in outward-facing contexts.
* Produces and manages User Acceptance Test (UAT) Plans, based on the requirements gathered during project initiation. Ensures the detailed, prompt, and accurate reporting of issues and management of feedback.
* Elicits and analyses existing business processes and workflows, works with business users to formulate and define future processes, proposes and documents future-state/to-be business processes and workflows.
* Reviews and evaluates Quality Assurance test cases for completeness and accuracy. Aids in identifying and prioritizing high-risk business scenarios and works closely with the Agile team, communicating and applying CCC lean-agile guidelines. Attends Agile ceremonies, including the preparation and presentation of Sprint Showcases, managing feedback, defects, and bugs in collaboration with the PO to ensure successful iterations and projects.
* Serves as a liaison between Product and other cross-functional teams. Aids in the facilitation of team meetings. Delivers informative, well-organized presentations, usually to internal stakeholders, to facilitate requirements of elicitation, business prioritization and decision making. Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully and contributes to the BA Practice.
Requirements:
* 4-6 years' experience as a Business Analyst
* Demonstrable experience with complex application development throughout the software development life cycle
* SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) understanding highly desirable
* Strong experience of working on products with heavy UX/UI requirements is highly desirable.
* Experience working on products with heavy search and analytics requirements is highly desirable and demonstrable experience in best practice management of a backlog of business requirements.
* Experience in creating supporting artefacts (Wireframes, Data Dictionaries, etc.)in most of the following tools: Google docs, Visio/Lucid Chart, and Axure.
* Experience of business process modelling in standard notations.
* Highly Desirable: Formal courses in lean-agile methodology; certification preferred in some of the following: BCS/ISEB, IIBA, CSPO/PSPO, PMI-PBA
