Mission
As a Structures Integration Manager, your main mission is to lead the department responsible for the assembly and integration of the structures sub‐system, producing all necessary documentation and ensuring a high‐quality, on‐time process.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and optimise assembly procedures and technical approaches for launch vehicle primary and secondary structures, including assembly manuals, work orders, inspections and reports.
Lead the assembly of aerospace structures, rocket engines, fluid systems and related components. Supervise drilling, mechanical, sealing and other assembly processes for metallic and composite parts.
Provide technical support and problem‐solving during assembly operations.
Coordinate with dedicated departments for tooling and development requirements.
Organise, assign and track work/deliverables for the assembly team.
Report and collaborate closely with Program management to meet deadlines and milestones, participating in production control and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with design engineers and supply chain to improve design quality, reduce assembly time and simplify operations.
Implement processes in a rapidly evolving production environment.
Support design and manufacturing of tooling and support equipment to facilitate hardware assembly.
Maintain a highly structured, detail‐oriented integration environment.
Anticipate future refurbishment and maintenance needs that may impact the first assembly concept.
Resolve non‐conformances swiftly and work with the Quality team on corrective actions.
Implement quality assurance processes conforming to specifications and standards.
Maintain an operational, safe, clean and well‐organized integration environment.
Necessary Requirements
High level of written and spoken English.
Bachelor's degree in aerospace, manufacturing, mechanical engineering or a related field.
+7 years of experience in assembly and integration of complex, multidisciplinary aerospace systems.
Hands‐on project and assembly experience with structures, mechanical, and high‐pressure fluid systems.
Experience with assembly planning, process definition, documentation, reporting, process tracking and quality control.
Knowledge of mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T and design considerations.
Familiarity with 3D modeling, CAD and PLM systems.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Experience with ERP systems, work order creation and BOM structures.
Leadership experience in an aerospace development environment.
Team‐player mentality; ability to learn, lead, and help others.
Strong systematic problem‐solving, Value Stream, Requirements Management and Project Management skills.
High level of written and spoken Spanish (in addition to English).
Desired Requirements
Experience with design for manufacturing, kaizen, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, FMEA.
Experience in process development from R&D to high‐volume manufacturing.
Experience with orbital launch systems or flight production programs.
Experience with full lifecycle development of aerospace systems.
Experience with Siemens NX and Team Center.
