About the job
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Trainee who will support the daily financial operations of the AP team, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, timely communication with suppliers, and proper maintenance of vendor records. This role is ideal for students looking to develop a strong foundation in finance and accounting, gain hands-on experience in a dynamic international environment, and contribute to efficient and reliable payment processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the trainee will learn key AP workflows while helping maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance.
Your responsibilities:
- Validate invoice and document data extracted through the OCR platform.
- Follow up with suppliers to obtain pending invoices or missing documentation.
- Support corporate credit card payment processing.
- Create and update supplier/vendor records in the system.
- Assist in identifying and resolving account or payment discrepancies.
- Review GRIR accounts and email the vendors requesting missing invoices and Statement of account
Set yourself apart
- Currently pursuing a university degree or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Fluent English (mandatory).
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to validate data and identify discrepancies accurately.
- Good communication skills and confidence to interact with suppliers and internal teams.
- Basic understanding of accounts payable processes, invoices, and financial documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, follow up on pending items, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Excel and basic data-handling tools; familiarity with OCR platforms is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn how to resolve account and payment discrepancies.
- Organization, reliability, and eagerness to grow in a finance environment.
