We're excited to offer an exclusive opportunity with a prestigious end client for a Cloud Network Engineer to join a highly skilled Connectivity Team within the Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) division of a major international retail company.
Location: Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid – 2 days/week onsite, city center office)

About the Role
As a Cloud Network Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining a secure, high-performance cloud platform. You'll work with technologies like OpenStack, Kubernetes, SDN, and automation tools to deliver resilient infrastructure solutions that support scalable cloud services across a global organization.
This is a hands-on technical role suited for someone passionate about networking, automation, and cloud-native environments.
Your Responsibilities
* Support the development of a cloud platform with a focus on networking (OpenStack Neutron, OVS/OVN, Arista, Calico).
* Manage the surrounding infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, NGINX, BGP).
* Conduct in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
* Automate technical workflows and optimize infrastructure processes.
* Maintain professional documentation and ensure strong monitoring/logging for operations.
* Collaborate within a motivated, cross-functional team to drive continuous improvement.
Your Profile
* Solid experience with Linux and Kubernetes, and a keen interest in staying up to date with the latest in both.
* Hands-on experience with SDN technologies like OVS/OVN and Calico.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and structured diagnostic approaches.
* Proficiency in programming/scripting: Golang, C/C++, Python, Bash.
* Experience with virtualization and containerization environments.
