We’re looking for a Principal AI Engineer to lead the design, build, and deployment of real-world AI systems – not just prototypes or prompt-driven demos. This is a high-impact, hands-on role within a confidential, global initiative where you’ll work on advanced Generative AI, MLOps, and traditional machine learning solutions.
What you’ll doBuild and deploy Generative AI systems, including custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelinesLead machine learning projects in areas such as predictive maintenance, optimisation, and automationTranslate business needs into scalable, production-ready AI productsMentor other engineers and contribute to the technical direction of the teamDrive best practices in MLOps, from model lifecycle management to CI / CD and monitoring
Example problems you’ll tackleDiagnosing noisy or inaccurate responses from deployed LLMsBuilding predictive models from very limited or sparse historical dataScaling GenAI pipelines with strong performance, compliance, and traceability
What we’re looking forProven experience working with LLMs, Transformers, and Generative AI architecturesA strong track record of deploying machine learning models into production environmentsExcellent Python skills and hands-on experience with frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learnSolid knowledge of AWS services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, Lambda, and S3Familiarity with time series analysis, anomaly detection, and mathematical optimisationComfortable with software engineering best practices and model delivery at scaleBonus :
experience with modern web frameworks or cloud data platforms
