Knowledge Lawyer for Commercial Data IPTech and Trade (Data Cyber & AI focus) Job Location Madrid Job Category Business Services Support Department Knowledge Management Description Role location : Vienna, Milan, Rome, Madrid, or Barcelona This role involves managing and executing legal content projects, training, and knowledge initiatives for the Group, aligning with the Firm's knowledge strategy. The focus is on making first-class knowledge easily accessible to lawyers, enhancing the quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness of legal advice, particularly in data, cyber, and AI-related work. Main responsibilities include: Knowledge and Expertise: Review, develop, and automate precedents and legal content; understand client industries and connect industry knowledge to broader Firm initiatives; serve as a trusted advisor on complex legal issues; devise strategies for comprehensive and up-to-date knowhow; develop and deliver training programs; lead thought leadership campaigns; work on policy initiatives and capacity building. Service Orientation: Promote an integrated global team mindset; establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers; ensure recognition of Knowledge work and foster collaboration across practice groups. Work Management: Redefine and promote Knowledge services and best practices; collaborate on legal tech including AI; champion Knowledge systems and implement necessary changes; build and execute a comprehensive Knowledge Plan aligned with the firm's strategic objectives. Some travel within the EMEA region will be required. About the team The Knowledge team comprises nearly 300 professionals globally, focusing on creating, systematizing, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the firm. You will report to the Director of Knowledge (Practices). Key relationships include the Group's key partners, lawyers, and the broader Knowledge community within the firm. About the candidate Technical skills and experience: Law degree with extensive post-qualification experience in data, cyber, or AI legal work; current license to practice law; excellent communication skills; experience with strategy and legal technology; strong organizational skills.
