Responsibilities
As our Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for creating and managing engineering and installation projects within the Engineering department, ensuring that health, safety, and environmental standards are integrated into engineering management. You will also communicate project status and performance metrics to the teams and organization.
Your main focus includes:
* Establishing the foundation for project management.
* Controlling plant CAPEX, prioritization, and forecasting.
* Creating and maintaining procedures for CAPEX prioritization.
* Developing global engineering project practices and guidelines.
* Ensuring health, safety, and environment considerations are incorporated into engineering practices.
* Creating standard CQV procedures and integrating them into project workflows.
* Identifying engineering management synergies within the plant and proposing methods to leverage them.
* Leading and participating in multidisciplinary problem-solving groups, and promoting problem-solving techniques across the organization.
* Training technicians in established project management procedures.
* Representing the Engineering department in the absence of the Engineering Director.
* Developing activities related to resource, energy, and supply savings.
* Participating in new initiatives such as FMEA analysis during change parts design.
* Analyzing machinability for new product proposals and suggesting line allocations.
* Supporting the innovation team in change parts design and validation.
* During testing and commissioning, analyzing incidents and implementing countermeasures.
* Ensuring timely execution of tasks during LT & CRO, and managing actions from FMEA, LT, or CR.
* Creating training packages and conducting sessions to ensure proper project implementation on the line.
* Designing and implementing solutions to improve operations and machine capabilities, including layout design or improvements.

Qualifications
* Engineering degree (Industrial, Design, or Mechanical).
* Deep technical knowledge of equipment across all processes at the site, with production experience highly valued.
* Experience in industries such as food, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or chemicals.
* Proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
* Understanding of bulk manufacturing and filling operations, including processes, equipment, and utilities.
* Knowledge of QA and GCM guidelines in manufacturing.
* Experience in industrialization processes for new formulas/products.
* Familiarity with RM & TQM fundamentals.
* Financial knowledge related to investment analysis, project cost control, and asset management.
* Fluent in English and Spanish.
