Financial Controller - EMEA

The Financial Controller EMEA is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the Finance department from our regional office in Spain. This position involves overseeing multi-entity month-end processes, regional consolidation, audits, and financial governance, while supporting regional objectives and long-term strategic vision.
Key Responsibilities
Month-End & Consolidation
Lead and review month-end management accounts for all (nine) EMEA entities.
Prepare the full EMEA consolidation, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Team Leadership
Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of three management accountants.
Oversee monthly reporting delivered to Country Heads.
Audit & Compliance
Support the US interim and year-end audit processes.
Coordinate local statutory audits across EMEA.
Oversee VAT return preparation and submission across all relevant jurisdictions
Analysis & Projects
Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support management decision-making.
Lead or participate in ad hoc financial and operational projects as required.
Requirements
Professional accounting qualification or equivalent.
Proven experience in a regional or multi-entity controller role.
Strong understanding of EMEA reporting requirements and VAT regulations.
Experience managing and developing finance teams.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organisational skills.
Experience with US GAAP and US audit processes is highly desirable.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Netsuite is a plus.
