Overview Manager, Global Clinical Operations Learning and Training at Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine. This role is a hybrid position and can be located in Beerse, Belgium; Leiden, Netherlands; or Madrid, Spain. The Clinical Trial Learning and Training (CTLT) organization develops and implements training strategies and designs for clinical trial training and Global Clinical Operations (GCO) functional role-based global onboarding programs. CTLT delivers learning programs that address gaps, build capabilities, and ensure compliance with relevant Regulations, Standards, and Good Clinical Practice. The organization aims to enhance effectiveness of learning for those conducting clinical trial activities, improve site engagement/satisfaction, and enhance preparedness of GCO roles that support portfolio services.

Responsibilities Define, create, and drive learning strategy, techniques, and process capabilities to enable industry-leading training of GCO clinical trial teams and sites.
Create and enhance functional role-based training programs for best-in-class training across the globe; design tailored study-specific training programs and oversee content development.
Manage projects, vendors, and stakeholders; measure learning effectiveness and process efficiency; engage learners.
Conduct learning needs assessments with CTLT colleagues, SMEs, and stakeholders to ensure training design delivers expected outcomes; contribute to other key CTLT initiatives.
Provide guidance and support to SMEs through course design, including analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation to produce high-quality training materials.
Develop training materials and evaluation strategies; create participant guides, facilitator guides, and job aids; ensure alignment with performance support tools.
Manage multiple learning projects and coordinate internal or external teams of learning professionals as needed.
Identify, oversee, and partner with external vendors and developers; collaborate with CTLT and other SMEs on learning needs assessments.
Stay current with industry trends, advancements in training design and technologies; coach and mentor CTLT peers in adult learning principles and training strategies.
Travel up to 10% as required.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or Education); Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in training, education, and/or design and development.
Healthcare industry experience preferred (Pharmaceutical, Medical Device/MedTech, Consumer).
Experience with organizational change management and leading large-scale training initiatives required.
Experience with e-learning, virtual, or mobile training delivery; strong knowledge of ADDIE and SAM models; familiarity with LMS and SCORM standards.
Proficiency with content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia) and Microsoft Office.
Vendor management and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
Customer-focused with ability to lead training process continuous improvement; data-driven approach to training needs analysis and effectiveness.
Ability to apply instructional design theories and adult learning principles to blended learning solutions; ability to collaborate across a matrix organization.
