The Sales & Events Intern will work as a team member to support the Sales & Events team at Nobu Hotel Barcelona. The intern must demonstrate high energy levels, provide excellent customer service, and maintain accurate work. They will assist the Events Executive/Manager in developing relationships with market decision-makers.
General Responsibilities
* Handle guest and employee inquiries courteously and efficiently, reporting complaints or problems to supervisors and following up with guests.
* Maintain complete records of all sales agreements, contracts, and quotes according to hotel policies.
* Ensure the hotel’s database is current.
* Provide accurate and timely handovers to the front office, including rooming lists, breakfast vouchers, and welcome letters.
* Liaise with events staff on corporate, leisure, or group issues, maintaining internal communication.
Specific Duties & Tasks
* Learn all aspects of Nobu Hotel Barcelona and local points of interest.
* Understand hotel room categories, features, and restaurant menus.
* Support marketing activities, including creating collateral, updating the website, supporting PR and events, and participating in marketing meetings.
* Assist the Events team with site inspections and event organization.
* Follow up on client requests, invoices, rooming lists, and payments.
* Negotiate with clients and draft proposals post-sale.
* Collaborate with Sales & Events team on various issues, maintaining communication.
* Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
