About Qida :
Qida is a social impact scale-up founded in Barcelona in 2018 with the vision to become the European leader in services to the elderly at home. Our goal is to keep the elderly patients at home, for longer, through both caregiver services, as well as, insurance, and technology.
Six years after inception, we have scaled the business to 85Mn€ GMV, 250+ office employees, over 5.500 active caregivers, just made it to profitability (EBITDA 0) and have partnerships with the largest private hospital chain in Spain (QuirónSalud) and one of the largest bank and life insurers in Spain.
We are B Corp and invested by the 3 largest social impact funds in Spain, together with Kibo Ventures, a leading Southern Europe VC.
About the origins :
The company was founded by Oriol Fuertes, a McKinsey alumnus in both Spain and London, where he spent about 10 years doing healthcare work, mostly in the public sector. Oriol was selected as the best Manager in the London Office, amongst about 1500 colleagues back in 2017, before founding Qida.
