The Director Market Access & Reimbursement EMEA – Shockwave role is focused on leading reimbursement and health technology assessment (HTA) submissions across target markets in the EMEA region. This position spans the Evidence, Value, and Access domains and involves addressing a diverse set of challenges and processes across various geographies. The individual will collaborate closely with the Global Market Access team and external consultants, utilizing clinical data and economic models to establish justifications for reimbursement and coverage.

Johnson & Johnson is looking for a Director Market Access & Reimbursement EMEA – Shockwave for Shockwave Medical to be located in multiple locations across EMEA : United Kingdom, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, and Spain. This role is available across multiple countries and may be posted under different requisition numbers to comply with local requirements.
* Responsibilities and Duties :
Responsibility for the reimbursement submissions strategy and execution across multiple / various countries in the region.
Development of health cost economic analysis tools (spreadsheets and economic models) for Shockwave Medical partners and internal organization.
Managing updates to the core value dossiers across the EMEA region for Shockwave products.
Foster a close and effective working relationship across all relevant departments and teams, especially sales & marketing, regulatory, and clinical / scientific affairs.
Facilitate Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and Clinical Society conversations as required.
Create and sustain Advisory Boards and Expert Working Groups to drive market access objectives in countries across Europe.
Identify opportunities and threats from shifts in policy landscape, health technology assessments, or other value assessments across Europe.
Represent Shockwave at national-level trade associations in Europe and highlight key developments which could impact the market.
Engage with HTA processes involving Shockwave products and services in Europe and manage submissions & consultation processes, including clinician and patient feedback.
Drive updates to country-level position statements and guidelines to positively include Shockwave products and services.
Keep up to date on clinical trials, both investigator initiated and external studies, that can be used to improve clinical and health economic value messaging for Shockwave Medical products or categories.
Prepare and update Market Access presentations for use by Shockwave Medical partners and internal organization.
Oversee and / or assist in the writing of articles and preparation of materials to be used professionally by Shockwave.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director Market Access.
* Qualifications :
Minimum of a Master’s Degree required in a relevant field (Health Economics, Health Policy, Public Health, Business).
Minimum of 10+ years related medical device industry experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and market access experience.
Experience with HTA submissions and reimbursement applications in larger European markets is required.
Strong leadership capabilities and ability to effectively work and communicate across multiple cultures and a breadth of functions and levels.
Strong organization and planning skills, self-motivated with excellent time management skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
* Language Skills :
Must be able to communicate effectively and fluently in English, and ideally 1 or 2 other European languages.
* Travel :
It is anticipated that this role will require travel around the EMEA region ~50% of the time, with occasional trans-Atlantic travel in addition to regional travel commitments.
