Due to the ongoing expansion and advancement of projects within our organization, ERM Iberia is actively seeking a HS Consultant at the Associate Level.
This role will be based in either our Madrid or Barcelona offices, operating within the Safe and Sustainable Operation Services division.
Responsibilities will include overseeing the implementation of EHS management systems, executing customized EHS projects such as golden rules implementation or adherence to specific international standards, and providing support for EHS compliance (including legal register maintenance and compliance assessments). Additionally, the role will involve conducting EHS audits aligned with corporate client standards and offering Safety Services such as Safety Culture Transformation, Assessment, and Coaching. Knowledge in Process Safety will be a plus.
Main Responsibilities and tasks:
1. Support the development of Safety and health, and environmental compliance and management system programs.
2. Implementation of EHS digital tools, including training to the client final users.
3. Provide comprehensive support for safety compliance activities.
4. Environmental and HS permitting support.
5. Perform H&S and environmental compliance audits and provide advice on the implementation of corrective actions to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
6. Provide general Safety compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance.
7. Facilitate workshops with clients as part of safety culture transformation projects, including safety coaching on the field.
8. Supporting project managers in requested activities such as research for information, writing reports, etc.
9. Update HSE legal registers.
10. Supporting on H&S documentation.
11. Supporting on Power Bi H&S data base related to EHS KPI
About you
We are looking for a candidate who is eager to pursue a career in a sustainability consulting firm, particularly focusing on health and safety services
The ideal candidate should possess:
12. Up to 2 years of experience in HSE positions.
13. H&S Master (PRL) according to Spanish regulation or a similar degree.
14. Knowledge of environmental, health, and safety management systems (ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001), EHS audits, health and safety supervision, and other sustainability services.
15. Preferably possess a strong technical background such as chemical, industrial, or environmental engineering.
16. Familiarity with energy management systems (ISO 50001) would be advantageous.
17. Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational and analytical abilities; experience in recording and writing detailed technical data and reports.
18. Experience working in the Oil & Gas, Power, Pharma, Chemical, Mining, and Manufacturing sectors would be a significant advantage.
19. Fluency in both Spanish and English languages is mandatory (CL1 level required). Proficiency in other languages such as French, Italian, or Portuguese will be considered a plus.
20. Availability for frequent national and international travel.
