Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Group Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for auditing, qualifying, and supporting as well as developing suppliers. You will ensure that external supplier parts meet our quality standards and that the supplied parts maintain a sustainable quality level in accordance with VG requirements. Your expertise will contribute to the continuous improvement of our supplier quality processes and the development of our supply chain. The responsibilities will be:
Lead the approval and release of externally supplied parts during series start and subsequent changes, ensuring compliance with VG requirements (PPAP – Part Approval Process).
Develop and execute audit plans for selected suppliers, including conducting audits, preparing agendas, creating action lists, and following up on corrective actions.
Support supplier development initiatives, participating in workshops and activities focused on quality improvement.
Act as the owner of process methods and drive process ownership, improvement, and development within the supplier quality department and collaborate on development projects related to suppliers, ensuring project teams apply necessary quality methods and processes to meet customer requirements.
Oversee and support 8D problem-solving activities related to supplier issues, ensuring timely and quality follow-up reports.
Manage reimbursement and claims processes related to supplier claims, ensuring proper follow-up and resolution.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
More than 6 years of professional experience in quality planning, development, or manufacturing within the heating technology sector.
Strong knowledge of quality tools and methods (Core-Tools) such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC.
Proven experience with auditing and norm standards (ISO, VDA, TS).
Excellent command of the English language.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers to drive quality improvements.
