Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Develop and implement acquisition strategies and plans in line with the company’s goals and objectives.
* Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, timelines, and pricing agreements to ensure favorable conditions.
* Manage and maintain relationships with existing suppliers, monitor their performance, and address any issues that may arise.
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, market conditions, and potential risks and opportunities.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their requirements and provide acquisition solutions that meet their needs.
* Monitor inventory levels, track deliveries, and ensure the timely delivery of goods and services.
* Evaluate supplier performance and conduct periodic performance reviews to ensure compliance with contractual agreements.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to optimize acquisition processes and reduce expenses.
* Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier information.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Administration or equivalent experience
* 2+ years of experience working as a Senior Buyer in a manufacturing environment
* Metal stamping and injection molding experience preferred
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Technical writing experience preferred
* Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and taking initiative.
* Strong negotiator and dealings with suppliers.
