Job OverviewTechnical Sales & Account Manager – Data CentersKey Responsibilities- Build and nurture long‑term relationships with consulting engineers, design & build contractors, hyperscalers, and colocation operators.- Generate a strong business pipeline across the EMEA region while leveraging Johnson Controls’ comprehensive portfolio.- Communicate Johnson Controls’ offerings clearly, define strategic sales approaches, and position the company as the preferred supplier for key accounts in the data center sector.- Collaborate across EMEA teams to maximize growth, influence specifications, and ensure customer satisfaction.- Use sales tools and market insights to expand business opportunities, support consultant engineers, and consistently pursue sales targets.- Acquire the basis of design (BOD) and influence specifications by building partnering relationships with assigned Data Center customers at C, VP, and operational levels.- Develop and continually refine Account Management Plans to achieve success.- Maintain frequent face‑to‑face contact with decision makers;
actively listen, probe,identify and address concerns;
understand customer business and speak their language;
develop credibility, loyalty, trust, and win‑win relationships.- Drive specifications toward Johnson Controls offerings, earn BoD status, and influence written specifications to provide value and differentiation from competitors.- Consistently drive preference for our offerings, work on building OFCI/CFCI programs, and achieve favorable specifications and decision‑making.- Lead collaborative efforts with regional, global, and JCI teams to pursue projects based on account assignments.- Develop relationships with internal support, sales, operations, and administrative staff to ensure rapid resolution of customer issues.- Train and mentor local sales teams within EMEA.- Conduct technical presentations on JCI offerings and position oneself as a subject‑matter expert.- Keep management informed of progress and account status;
engage local, area, andexecutive leadership when appropriate.- Utilize Salesforce CRM, Altify, and STAR Account Plan reviews to build pipeline, document progress, and increase account penetration.- Stay up‑to‑date on industry standards, building codes, and best practices for BMS solutions within data centers.- Provide feedback to management and factory teams on customer perception, competitive moves, industry trends, and pipeline information.- Act as a thought leader for BMS solutions, foster a team mentality across internal departments, and communicate effectively to create internal alignment.- Support pre‑bid, bid, and post‑bid processes to set regional teams up for successful delivery;
collaborate with local,regional, and global operation teams for high customer satisfaction.- Own and facilitate customer relationships through regular cadence, quarterly business reviews, and on‑site/virtual meetings.- Initiate technology innovation sessions with consulting engineers, build contractors, hyperscalers, and colocation operators within EMEA;
align with global teamson local initiatives.Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Business, or a related field.- Five (5) years of experience selling similar JCI solutions within the data centers industry.- Existing network/relationships within the data centers industry (consulting engineers, contractors, hyperscalers, and colocation operators), specifically around OFCI/CFCI programs.- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple cultures.- Prior experience with Salesforce, Altify, Outlook, Office, and Teams.- Consultative approach that enables customers to choose the best solution.- Ability to work in a matrix environment as an individual contributor.- Fluent language skills in Spanish and English.Benefits- Attractive remuneration package based on qualifications and experience.- Social benefits, including life and accident insurance and flexible remuneration options.- Job stability, continuous training, professional development, and an excellent working environment.- Opportunities for career growth within a global, innovative company that values diversity and employee well‑being.Equal Opportunity StatementThis announcement is written with impartiality and non‑discrimination based on gender, race, ideology or any other reason in mind.
