Job Description
We are currently seeking a Credit Controller for our Spain office. This role involves managing complex insurance debtor and creditor accounts in an international environment, working closely with credit control teams.
Key responsibilities include liaising with international and domestic customers, insurance intermediaries, and reinsurers to ensure timely collection of premiums and recoveries. You will handle broker and reinsurer accounts, build effective relationships, and collaborate with underwriting, operations, and claims teams to resolve queries.
Ideal candidates will have strong analytical, relationship management, and communication skills, with an interest in international insurance structures, including reinsurance, and a desire to develop further in this field.
Responsibilities
* Reconcile debtor and creditor accounts, analyze differences, log queries, and monitor resolutions.
* Establish and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
* Achieve targets for gross and reinsurance debt and unallocated cash.
* Respond to information requests, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively with finance and other teams.
* Follow credit control processes and contribute to process improvements.
* Work within authorized limits and seek approvals as needed.
* Issue monthly statements to brokers and contribute to projects and initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements and RSA policies, and accurately record data.
Qualifications and Skills
* 1-2 years' experience in credit control or finance administration.
* Higher education qualification.
* Proficiency in Excel and data management tools.
* Fluent in English and Spanish, both verbal and written.
* Organized team player with a commercial mindset and results-driven attitude.
* Positive approach to change and adaptability.
