What We're Looking For
We are looking for a Senior RF Engineer to join our Assembly, Integration and Test (AIT) activities, with a strong background in RF and microwave technologies applied to space, aerospace, or defense environments. The ideal candidate will contribute to RF system integration, testing, and verification of satellite payloads, working closely with multidisciplinary teams in controlled environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform RF system design support, integration, and test activities within satellite payloads.
• Execute hands-on RF testing on antennas, waveguides, RF distribution networks, and payload subsystems.
• Operate RF test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, DMMs, and power supplies.
• Support verification and validation activities through RF measurements, analysis, and correlation with system and link-level performance.
• Work with electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, RF block diagrams, test procedures, ICDs, and technical documentation, ensuring configuration control and traceability.
• Apply cleanroom procedures (ISO 8 / ISO 5), contamination control, ESD protection, grounding practices, and strict quality and safety standards.
• Participate in anomaly investigation and resolution, contributing to continuous improvement during AIT campaigns.
• Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams in a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
• MSc in Electronics, Telecommunications, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in RF engineering, including RF circuits and RF test plan generation.
• 3–4 years of experience in radiofrequency activities within defense, security, space, or aerospace contexts.
• Solid knowledge of RF measurement techniques and test methodologies.
• Understanding of satellite communications payloads, RF architectures, link budgets, modulation schemes, and end-to-end RF performance.
• Experience working with RF test and measurement equipment.
• Familiarity with cleanroom and controlled environments, including ISO standards, ESD protection, and contamination control.
• Knowledge of applicable standards such as ECSS, IPC A-610, J-STD-001, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret RF test results and support verification activities.
• Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
• Professional fluency in English.
Desirable Skills
• Experience with ECSS standards and ECSS tailoring according to project requirements.
• Technical writing skills, including preparation of test procedures, test reports, and technical documentation.
