OverviewWORK LOCATION: Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago (U.S. Embassy)PROJECT DURATION: 48 MONTHS WITH EXPECTED FOLLOW-ON WORK WITHIN the DoS PROGRAMResponsibilitiesManaging the operations of the OBO/Port of Spain office as related to the construction contract's cost and schedule, preparing reports and other control documentationDeveloping working knowledge of all administrative requirements of the construction contract and required contract deliverablesAssuring satisfactory and timely performance of all aspects of project control, providing control of the contractor's submittals and as-built drawingsReviewing contractor’s monthly application for payment and advising Project Director/COR of findingsReviewing and evaluating requests for contract modifications as to their need and whether they are already a part of existing contract requirementsPerforming quantity take-offs and assist in preparation of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs)Providing support to the Project Director/COR in all contract administration matters, negotiating modifications and/or claims, interpreting contract requirements, e.g., payment provisions, general conditions, and Division I of the specificationsParticipating in meetings and conferences as requiredPreparing minutes of meetings attendedMaintaining the daily construction log, organizing daily inspection reports, tracking OBO equipment and project recordsAssisting and mentoring administrative staffCoordinating and cooperating with the Project Director/COR and other members of the Project Director's staffUndertaking other duties as assigned by the Project Director/CORDeveloping working knowledge of all technical requirements of the projectProviding Quality Assurance for ongoing construction projectReviewing contractor submittalsPreparing responses to Requests for Information (RFI)Evaluating proposed submittal substitutions with engineering implications; making recommendations to the Project DirectorCoordinating the development of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change ordersReviewing and evaluating design calculations and data from an engineering perspectivePreparing Monthly Progress Report summarizing project status, with emphasis on engineeringLocation and Project DetailsWORK LOCATION: Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago (U.S. Embassy)QualificationsA Bachelor’s degree (or above) from an accredited program and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience required on construction projects of similar scope and value to the project supported by this task orderDesign office experience shall not count toward an employee’s experience; a Professional Engineering License (PE) is acceptable in lieu of a degree; overseas experience is preferredMust have Final Secret, Interim Top Secret (TS), or Final TS security clearance issued by Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) at the time of considerationKnowledge of International Codes requiredKnowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word requiredOther related duties as assigned by the Project DirectorDesired SkillsU.S. Embassy construction program experience highly desiredStrong desire for a candidate with recent Primavera experienceSecurity and TravelSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL WITH TOP SECRET ELIGIBILITYTravel: YesAbout UsScientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
