Summary:
The Early Childhood Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating early childhood education programs and services for Chatham County RESA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and be able to effectively communicate with staff, parents, and community partners.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement early childhood education programs and services in accordance with state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with school districts, community agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality early childhood services
- Provide professional development opportunities for early childhood educators and staff
- Monitor program effectiveness and make recommendations for improvements
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to early childhood education programs and services
- Assist with grant writing and fundraising efforts to support early childhood education initiatives
- Serve as a liaison between Chatham County RESA and state and national early childhood education organizations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
