Job Description:
There is a vacancy for a Supply Chain and Quality Management role within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid).
The selected candidate will join the Supply Chain and Quality Manager as part of the Central Engineering organization.
Responsibilities:
* Serve as the central contact for on-time and on-quality performance, engaging with suppliers and internal procurement functions.
* Ensure compliance and continuous improvement of supply chain processes and quality requirements from contracts.
* Promote industrial maturity of suppliers and drive improvement actions to meet Airbus standards.
* Manage supplier qualification based on performance data and compliance with standards like ISO9001 or EN9100.
* Conduct risk analysis-based supplier monitoring through audits and assessments.
* Analyze vendor malfunction reports, initiate containment actions, determine root causes, and implement corrective measures.
* Contribute to supplier development through improvement projects, Tactical Improvement Plans, and standards such as APQP.
Skills:
* Degree in Engineering or Science; Master's degree preferred.
* At least 5 years of experience in engineering, specifically in composites, metals, surface materials, and testing methods.
* Support technical qualification and development of new material suppliers; experienced in impact analysis and problem solving.
* Experience in international environments.
* Knowledge of aircraft materials requirements, material technology development, and laboratory analysis.
* Project management skills and knowledge of low observability materials for thermal or electrical functionalities.
* Flexibility, interpersonal skills, solution-oriented mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency in English and Spanish; additional languages appreciated.
* Availability for frequent travel.
