About the Job
The primary goal of a Technical Project Manager is to plan, coordinate, and oversee the successful delivery of projects from initiation to completion. This role bridges the gap between technical teams and business objectives, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
* Support the Lead Technical Project Manager: collaborate on escalations, implement new processes, and communicate with individual contributors to keep delivery moving forward.
* Oversee Project Execution: monitor progress, manage dependencies, and adjust plans proactively for a team of 50+ engineers.
* Manage Stakeholder Communication: provide regular updates on project status, risks, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
* Help to Establish Project Scope: collaborate with stakeholders to define objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
* Mitigate Risks and Resolve Issues: identify potential risks early, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve project blockers.
* Coordinate Cross‑Functional Teams: facilitate collaboration between development, QA, product, and business functions.
* Drive Continuous Improvement: gather feedback after project completion and implement lessons learned to refine future project execution.
Requirements
* Education : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
* Experience :
o 2+ years of proven experience managing software development projects as a Project Manager or Lead Developer.
o 5+ years overall experience in software development, with recent commercial coding within the last 3 years.
o Experience in small to medium‑sized businesses (20–100 employees).
* Technical Knowledge :
o Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, Java, C#, etc.).
o Foundational knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD, containerization, and modern delivery concepts.
o Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum and related methodologies.
o Working knowledge of tools such as Git, Asana, Confluence, Slack.
o Understanding of testing approaches (unit, integration, E2E, test automation, performance, security).
o Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
* Project Management Skills :
o Strong attention to detail;
ensuring dependencies, follow‑ups, deliverables do not get missed.
o Ability to deliver results in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments;
balance agility with quality.
o Exceptional organizational, planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and stakeholder management.
o Ability to lead multiple projects concurrently and manage distributed or global teams.
* Soft Skills :
o Charismatic communicator who can motivate teams and create buy‑in.
o Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
o Proficiency in English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
* Technical Knowledge :
o Knowledge of AI tools (ChatGPT, Gemini, etc.) and how AI works under the hood.
o Basic knowledge of database systems (SQL, NoSQL).
o Basic experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar containerization tools.
o Understanding of quality control and assurance processes.
o Basic understanding of performance bottlenecks and cybersecurity principles.
