Overview
The Senior Sales Manager reports to the Director of Sales and will assist in managing the implementation of the hotel’s sales strategies and achieving budgeted top line revenue for the hotel. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail oriented, enjoys working in a team environment and leading and developing team members. The Senior Sales Manager needs to have the ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner, both written and verbally.
Responsibilities
* Assist in leading and supervising the sales team, oversee day-to-day sales activities, implement action plans and accomplish goals and set targets.
* Attend sales strategy meetings to provide input on weekly and overall sales strategy.
* Analyze market information using sales systems and implement strategies to achieve the property’s financial room and catering goals.
* Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Event Booking Center, Market Sales, GSO) to ensure property needs are met and sales efforts are complementary, not duplicative.
* Take ownership of specific markets based on business needs.
* Attend customer events, trade shows and sales missions to maintain, build or develop key relationships with GSO Managers and customers.

Requirements
* Minimum of 5 years hotel sales experience – luxury brands preferred.
* Experience in MICE and Leisure segments.
* Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Decision making skills and an astute business acumen.
* Immaculate presentation at all times, representing the Marriott Luxury Brands.
* Relationships with inbound tour operators & wholesalers
* Relationships with MICE & event management companies.
* Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards clients and colleagues as an ambassador of Marriott International.
* Lead by positive example. Ensure sales team members are a positive reflection of the hotel.
* Able to overcome obstacles and objections. Sees challenges as opportunities.
* Able to prioritize workload, is organized and well structured.
* Must have initiative and be a self-starter, not waiting to be driven.
