Karbon is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level, Full Stack Software Engineer. This is an exciting time to join the team because we are expanding our organization. In this role, you will be working within an agile development team to design and build interactive web applications. They are responsible for technical specifications and developing and deploying software.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain product features - Develop new functionality and iteratively improve existing systems, with a focus on reliability, performance, and user experience.
Balance speed and quality - Know when to move fast and when to slow down, making thoughtful trade-offs to deliver high-quality outcomes.
Use data to inform decisions - Learn from user behaviour, experiment thoughtfully including A/B testing where relevant, and help improve acquisition and conversion over time.
Work effectively as part of a team - Collaborate closely with engineers and QA throughout the development cycle to build, test, and improve features together
Use AI tools thoughtfully - Leverage AI to move faster for example drafting code, exploring solutions, or writing tests, while applying good judgement and always reviewing what ships.
Work with autonomy - Take ownership of problems, explore solutions, and ask questions when needed rather than waiting for predefined answers.
Own your work - Take pride in what you build and feel accountable for its impact on customers and the business.

Qualifications:
We know great engineers come from many backgrounds. You don't need to tick every box below to apply.
Hands-on experience building web applications using C#, .NET (MVC, Web API, .NET Core a plus) and JavaScript or TypeScript
Familiarity with SQL Server or relational databases, and an understanding of how data flows through an application
A growing understanding of software fundamentals like scalable systems, APIs, and basic data structures
Curiosity and problem-solving skills- you enjoy figuring things out and learning as you go
A sense of ownership and pride in your work, balanced with a willingness to ask questions and accept feedback
An interest in building customer-facing software and thinking about how real people use what you build
Comfortable working with others - sharing ideas, giving and receiving feedback, and learning together
A degree in Computer Science (or similar), or equivalent practical experience
