General Manager for Sales Order Services (based in Madrid, Spain)
As a Global Manager for Sales Order Services, you will be reporting to the Director of Order Services. The role is responsible for managing a regional team of Consulting Services Order Specialists (CSOS) and Consulting Services Coordinators (CSC) to support the Order to Cash process for the sale of Education and Services.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead the global Order Services team in supporting the BMC PS and Education organization with quote‑to‑cash processes, controls, and policies while collaborating with other back‑office functions (accounting, finance, and legal).
- Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely processing of orders.
- Demonstrate and promote a culture of integrity and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with key departments, including Sales and Consulting Services and Education Operations, Legal, Best Practices, Revenue Recognition, and Finance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, SOX controls, and that actions taken by the CSOS and CSC comply with Order Services SLAs and other applicable requirements.
- Ensure the regional CSOS and CSC teams are appropriately staffed with the necessary skills.
- Ensure that the services provided by the team comply with BMC policies and procedures.
- Ensure order submission deadlines are met.
- Ensure all necessary documentation is obtained to facilitate and recognize revenue from PS and Education sales.
- Develop and maintain an in‑depth understanding of revenue recognition and revenue accounting policies concerning the sale of consulting services and SOX controls applicable to the quote‑to‑cash process.
- Promote innovation by challenging the status quo and effectively managing change.
Role Requirements
- 3+ years of proven leadership of global or multi‑regional teams.
- Proven experience managing global billing processes, including multi‑currency and multi‑entity operations.
- Demonstrated experience in professional services operations, billing, or accounting.
- Demonstrated expertise in ERP/CRM systems and Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership capabilities.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project management abilities.
- Detailed understanding of order‑to‑cash processes and best practices with experience in implementing process improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading or contributing to systems transformation initiatives.
- Systems proficiency: Certinia, SFDC, MS Office Suite.
- Business professional level of English language.

The annual base salary range represents the low and high end of the BMC salary range for this position. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure, and certifications. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country‑specific benefits.
At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is €38,700 - €64,500.
